Powerhouse all-action forward MICHAEL TAYLOR has agreed to join Stourbridge from Stratford Town as Ian Long's team building continues. (READ ON)

Mike/Mikey started out originally in the Solihull Moors youth set-up before linking up with Midland Combination side Earlswood Town. After hitting over 40 goals in the 2010/11 season he was snapped up by Worcester City for the following season.

During the 2011/12 campaign he spent a short spell 'on loan' with Stourport Swifts to continue his development and get additional game time.

In the summer of 2013 he returned to Solihull Moors where he was often used as an impact player off the bench.

He returned to Worcester City in September 2014 and then linked up with Stratford Town for the first time in July 2016, hitting a hat-trick against the Glassboys in a pre-season friendly.

He soon moved on to Redditch United early in the 2016/17 campaign, but was quickly back in the Stratford fold by November 2016 and he duly became a favourite with the fans at the Warwickshire club, where he was nicknamed 'The Beast'.

He was amongst the leading goalscorers in the Premier Division Central in 2018/19 before Christmas before being lured away by league rivals Tamworth, however that move didn't work out and his contract was cancelled by mutual consent towards the end of January. He duly signed for Leamington in the National League North before opting for a return to Stratford Town a month later. He subsequently played his part in Stratford successfully securing a play-off berth and winning the Southern League Cup, notching 20 goals in all competitions for the 'Town'. In total he made 119 appearances for Stratford.

He follows Will Grocott in making the move this summer from Stratford to Stourbridge and we extend a warm welcome to Mikey.
