Striker AARON LLOYD has become the latest player to join from Alvechurch and he returns for a second stint at Amblecote. (READ ON)

Aaron started out with Shrewsbury Town and had a loan 'work experience' stint with Stafford Rangers before signing for Stourbridge as a teenager in March 2010 following his release by the Shropshire outfit.

He came off the bench to score on his debut against Nuneaton Town and he made six sub appearances in total during the rest of that season.

The summer of 2010 saw him dual register with Causeway United in the Midland Football Alliance, but he actually made his one and only start for the Glassboys in November 2010 in a 2 - 1 victory away to Evesham United in the Worcestershire Senior Cup 1st Round. His record to date reads 1 start plus six sub appearances with 1 goal.

He has subsequently also featured for Halesowen Town, Cradley Town, Dudley Town and Stourport Swifts.

Having previously spent a brief stint with Alvechurch at the very beginning of the 2016/17 campaign, the bullish striker, who is adept in the air, returned to Lye Meadow from Stourport in January 2018 to help them with their successful promotion push from the NPL Division 1 South.

Last season Aaron scored 4 times in 39 appearances for Alvechurch in their first season back at this level (26 starts + 13 sub) in the Premier Division Central, but will hopefully prove to be a good squad player in the coming campaign who can offer us something different in attack.
