Stour defeated Lye Town 3-1

Stour won the local derby last Wednesday evening 3-1 at Lye Town.
Dominating the game throughout, with Doyle and Walker in charge in midfield and Watts and Hunt solid at the back, Stour took a 2 goal lead into the interval.
Doyle drove home off the post to give Stour the lead and this was followed by an impressive passing move which resulted in Edmond-Hill crossing low for Brigdale to tap in at the centre of the goal.
The lead was increased in the second half by an own goal, Evans providing the pressure as a Lye defender headed into his own net.
A consolation for Lye came late on with a 25 yard drive hitting the top corner of the net with Cooper, making his debut, having no chance.
A good all round performance which hopefully will lead to Stour climbing the table further when they entertain Redditch on Tuesday 18th October 2016, kick off 7.45pm.
