Both teams setup to attack from the kick-off with Stockingford having the better of the chances within the first ten minutes. Both teams looked dangerous on the attack, with the striker for Stockingford possessing loads of pace and really working the Stourbridge back line.
However the organisation of the Stourbridge team proved enough to hold off the attacks and the Glassgirls started to find their feet.
Attacks down both flanks for Stourbridge caused problems for Stockingford and it was SARAH LOJKO, Stourbridge's top scorer for the past three seasons, who found her way through and finished well to make it 1-0.
This gave Stour momentum and they pressed for a second, with Kat Fryzer hitting the crossbar and then Georgia Harris striking the ball from outside the box and just scraping the corner of the post.
Stockingford were still causing problems though, getting into the Stourbridge box, and it was clear the visitors had goals within them.
Early in the second half Stockingford pressed and got a deserved goal to make it 1-1 with a neat finish over the top of Hannah Tromans in the Glassgirls' goal.
Stourbridge made two substitutions at this point, bringing on fresh legs in midfield and on the wing. The tide shifted and Stourbridge took the game to Stockingford and pushed for the winner.
The attacking of Stourbridge overpowered the defence of Stockingford at times and chances began to appear until, with fifteen minutes to play, the ball broke to LOJKO who attacked down the left, doing well to find space and strike the ball into the top left corner with the Stockingford keeper only able to get a hand to it, pushing it into the net.
Stockingford pushed hard in the time remaining and brought some fine saves from Tromans. Stourbridge held on despite constant pressure in the last 5 minutes to earn victory.
