Both teams started the game unbeaten in the West Midlands League, with Droitwich top after winning all three of their games, scoring 16 and conceding none. Stourbridge, meanwhile, had drawn both of their first two matches.
Droitwich started brighter but couldn't break down the solid Glassgirls defence. Droitwich's two attackers were very dangerous and ran the flanks well to cause issues in the first half.
Towards the end of the half the Glassgirls started to find their feet and were making Droitwich defend to their maximum, but at the break it was goal-less and a very even contest.
Stourbridge came out for the second half high on confidence and a ball In-between the centre back and left back found SARAH LOJKO who beat the keeper to the ball and slotted home.
Stourbridge didn't take the foot off attacking-wise but Droitwich responded with several attacks down the left and it was keeper Hannah Tromans who kept the Glassgirls ahead with several saves including one at point-blank range six yards out.
With Droitwich pressing, Stourbridge countered and another LOJKO run and finish made it 2-0.
Manager Andy Fisher made substitutions to add fresh legs, and it was one of the new arrivals, KAT FRYZER, who scored with her first touch following a shot at the Droitwich keeper which was parried straight into her path.
Stourbridge were now fully on top were using Lojko's pace and a ball to her out on the right left her one-on-one with the left back. LOJKO beat the defender inside and struck a left foot shot into the top corner from outside the area - a superb finish.
Droitwich gained a consolation goal with ten minutes remaining but the Glassgirls saw the match out for a comfortable win.
